You may be aware that our treasurer and membership secretary Danielle Charbonneau died suddenly shortly before Christmas. She will be greatly missed not only by WRA, but also the Chichester Society and the Cathedral where she also volunteered.

The Residents Association intend to plant a memorial tree close to where she lived in Willowbed, and close to where she used to walk her little dog Ollie.

A semi-mature tree will be quite expensive, so If you would like to make a contribution to the cost, please let us know via the contact us page, selecting Whyke Residents Association as the contact.

There is an urgent need for a pedestrian crossing in the Bognor Road close to the Coop and the Wickham Arms pub. Crossing in either direction can be difficult, and a crossing would ease the problem.

A petition has been set up in order to try to persuade Highways  that this is a much needed safety improvement on a busy stretch of road.
